1. Purpose and scope
JAMMY MARKET is a local connection tool for standalone JAMMY Account holders age 13 or older. Its safety systems are designed to reduce harassment, scams, prohibited transactions, sexual exploitation, threats, unsafe meetup pressure, unwanted contact, and other conduct that conflicts with the Terms of Service.
This page explains the ordinary user-facing process. It does not publish confidential detection rules, model prompts, enforcement thresholds, anti-abuse controls, or information that could help someone evade safety review.
2. Automated chat and media review
JAMMY may use rules, risk signals, and configured artificial-intelligence tools to review MARKET message text, edited message text, and supported message media. A check may occur before content is delivered to the other participant. Uploaded media may remain unavailable while review is pending.
Automated tools may consider the submitted content, limited content metadata, conversation and account safety context, prior moderation outcomes, reports, and feature-specific signals relevant to the review. They can make mistakes. They are one part of the safety process and do not replace reporting, blocking, Support, or human review.
Held content is not ordinary delivered content. A message or attachment that needs review may be held from the recipient, removed, or shown only to the sender with a pending-review status while the safety process continues.
3. Possible outcomes
Depending on the content, context, severity, repetition, and available evidence, JAMMY may allow content, hold it for review, remove it, limit media uploads, mute messaging, or suspend access to MARKET features. Lower-level messaging restrictions may expire automatically. A serious MARKET suspension remains active until an approved appeal or another authorized review restores access. A MARKET-scoped suspension does not by itself suspend unrelated JAMMY products.
For an apparent critical and immediate safety risk, JAMMY may apply a temporary whole-account safety lock while authorized personnel review the situation. This exceptional measure can pause access beyond MARKET so a potentially urgent threat is not carried into another JAMMY surface. It is not a final finding and should receive priority human review.
JAMMY may also preserve relevant evidence, notify affected users in an appropriately limited way, escalate a matter to specialized personnel, or contact emergency services or lawful authorities when reasonably necessary and permitted by law.
4. Safeguards for a 13+ marketplace
Users age 13–17 can use MARKET with youth-safe protections. MARKET receives the participation mode needed to apply those protections rather than another collector’s birth month, birth year, or precise age. The feature does not tell one collector that the other is a teen.
If either collector uses youth-safe MARKET mode, an in-person sale or trade must use the approved Kawaii Alley location or a currently published JAMMY CON safe zone shown in the accepted offer. Automated chat safety applies alongside this location rule; it does not guarantee supervision, identity, payment, authenticity, event access, or completion of an exchange.
Do not ask another user for a home address, school, hotel room, private schedule, phone number, payment credentials, identity documents, or off-platform contact under pressure. Report grooming, sexual content involving a minor, credible threats, doxxing, coercion, or an unsafe meetup request promptly.
5. Notices and human-reviewed appeals
When practical and consistent with safety, privacy, anti-abuse, and legal needs, JAMMY provides an in-product notice or Support path for a held item or restriction. A notice may use a general reason and may not reveal confidential detection methods, another person’s report, protected evidence, or information that would create a new safety risk.
You may use the in-product safety appeal option or ask JAMMY Support to review an eligible automated moderation outcome, MARKET suspension, or temporary whole-account safety lock. Include the affected account, conversation or item if known, a concise explanation, and any evidence you are authorized to share. Do not send passwords, passkeys, session tokens, payment credentials, government identification, or another person’s unnecessary private information.
An authorized person reviews the available context and may uphold, reverse, narrow, extend, or otherwise adjust the outcome. Appeals are not decided only by the same automated result being challenged. Review timing depends on urgency, safety, complexity, available evidence, and whether another person’s privacy or an active investigation must be protected.
6. Evidence and privacy
Safety review may use the relevant message or edited version, supported media or a derived transcript where available, moderation categories and status, limited technical metadata, user reports, block history, related account or MARKET restrictions, prior relevant incidents, appeal submissions, and actions taken. JAMMY aims to use only the evidence reasonably needed for the safety purpose.
Safety evidence is not made public. Access is limited to authorized personnel and service providers that need it for moderation, security, support, privacy, legal compliance, or system operation. Cloudflare may process configured AI and application data as a service provider. See the Privacy Policy for broader information-handling practices.
Blocking another user limits future contact but does not necessarily delete already-created safety, report, or audit records. Unsend and account-deletion tools also do not guarantee immediate deletion of content preserved for a report, appeal, safety investigation, legal hold, or another person’s legitimate record.
7. Retention and deletion
Messages, media, automated review results, restriction history, reports, appeals, evidence summaries, and audit records are retained only as long as reasonably needed for delivery, moderation, safety, abuse prevention, support, disputes, legal obligations, and approved retention schedules. Different records can have different periods because their purposes and sensitivity differ.
When information is no longer needed, JAMMY deletes or de-identifies it through the applicable process, subject to backup rotation, unresolved safety matters, legal holds, consent proof, and other lawful exceptions described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Limits and urgent help
Automated and human review can produce false positives or miss harmful content. JAMMY does not promise that every unsafe message will be detected, that review will be immediate, or that another user is trustworthy. Use report and block tools, keep sensitive information private, meet only under the applicable approved-location rule, and leave any interaction that feels unsafe or pressured.
JAMMY Support is not an emergency service. For an immediate threat, suspected exploitation, or urgent danger, contact local emergency services and a trusted adult where appropriate. For a MARKET safety or appeal request, use JAMMY Support or email support@jammygroup.ca.
